The Njelele river flows past the camp. In this river a dam was build which is pushing up far past the camp. One of the most exciting experiences is to take a trip on the barge with one of our guides. In the late afternoon you can spot many animals that is coming down to the water to drink. There is also an amazing number of birds that stay around the dam, many of which is not commonly spotted in South Africa.

This is also the ideal time to try your hand at fishing. Common species of fish which we find in the dam is briem, catfish, carp and tiger fish has also been reintroduced to the dam a few years ago. This is normally great fun for young and old, and the catch is normally used by our cooks to prepare a most delicious starter.
