Bushwalks
The most fantastic way to experience nature is by going on a bushwalk. During these excursions you will be guided by one of our armed nature guides and you will not only spot many different species of game, but also get in touch with the smaller and sometimes most beautiful bush plants and wild flowers. Small animals, reptiles birds and insects are also spotted.
Our nature guides have a vast knowledge of the different plant types, birds, insects and trees, which makes this one of the most unforgettable experiences.
Safari game drive
Game drives are usually conducted in the early morning or late afternoons. The cooler hours of the day is gives great opportunity in seeing activity in some of Africa’s most iconic and elusive wildlife.
On the drive you will be accompanied by on of our experienced guides, that are eager to share their knowledge of the environment and will lead you to amazing sightings.
The guide will also always make sure that you have a nice cool beverage or snack in your hands, which always follows us in the cooler box whenever we leave the lodge.
Open safari vehicles allow for a great view and ensures your safety at all times.
Dinner in the bush
Bush dinners are arranged at least once a week. Her you eat on the summit of one of the local hills while enjoying the sunset and view. - One of the favorite experiences among our prior customers.
Boatcruise
Water is life, and as the Riverview Lodge is located on the riverside, you have the opportunity of a nice trip, up and down the river on our boat/raft. Here it is also possible to arrange a dinner, and you will be able to see crocodiles, reptiles, birds, fish and game animals drinking water on the bank..
If you want fishing is also possible while on the raft.
Fishing
During most of the year the fishing in our dams are very good. Don’t expect to catch giants, but you can catch many average sized fish that will serve well as an appetizer before dinner.
It is very relaxing to fish and see all the birds and animals coming to drink water, as well as crocodiles and many different lizards lying in the sun.
This is a relaxing activity where you will also have the time to enjoy the contents of your cooler box.
Birdwatching
In addition to the many exciting game species, the area is also a paradise for bird watchers. Because of our amazing area of 45.000Ha the wildlife is actually wild, and this also reflects in the great amount of different tropical birds we have here.
Excursions
Limpopo Safaris lies in an area where it is easy to arrange single day or overnight excursions to surrounding attractions. Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana is one bush attraction; here you have an excellent chance of seeing lions, leopards and elephants in broad daylight.
The Kruger National park is also well worth a visit, and it is only a 90km drive away. A day trip to the Kruger is easily arranged with prior notice.

If you know in advance that you don’t wish to hunt everyday or not at all, it is a good idea to book a nature guide, who can take you on a photo safari, bushwalk, go fishing, se the cave paintings or visit the town of Musina, where you will feel the pulse of a small African town.
If you visit Limpopo Safaris as a non-hunter together with hunters, you are are also the most welcome to join the hunter while hunting - at no extra cost.
